I truly do think I have one of the best jobs in the world. I have the opportunity to meet great people and share one of the most amazing day's of their lives with them. It is also always a treat when I have the chance to travel to new places to photograph their weddings as the new backdrops and scenery is always inspiring. I admit I have been to the Okanagan many times but have never stayed in Penticton so when Kristin and Ryan invited me up to shoot their fabulous wedding set at the gorgeous St. Andrews by the Lake golf course, I was so excited. The setting was breathtaking for their sweet ceremony overlooking the lake. It was then time for a few family photos before their official formals session around the grounds. Kristin and Ryan have already headed off for a romantic and relaxing honeymoon in Jamaica for two weeks, but I wish them all the best for the future. :) Click on the link below to view their wedding day slideshow...
The fabulous Granville Island was the backdrop for Melisa and Evan's engagement session and it was exactly what these two were looking for. Their wedding is taking place at Morgan Creek Golf Course in beautiful South Surrey so for this session they really wanted a more urban, city feel. Which is exactly what we got. They were up for anything and I cannot wait to see how excited they are on their actual wedding day. Here are a few favourites from the session...
Allison and Kris were all smiles and giggles for their e session at Bear Creek Park. Their wedding is coming up in a few months and they were really excited to finally have some fun, couple photos taken prior to the big day. The park always provides a great backdrop and lots of areas for snuggling. I cannot wait to see these two on their wedding day!! Here are a few favourites...
I had the opportunity to photography 5 gorgeous women this past Sunday during another fabulous boudoir marathon. This one was set at the beautiful Pacific Palisades Hotel in Vancouver and the fun, funky colours provided for a great backdrop as these women showed off their sexy sides. Jayna Bussiere was a superstar once again and helped each girl to complete her "look" with complete hair and make-up. Here are a few of the amazing results from our fun-filled day...
After a whirlwind of wedding activity over the past few weeks, it was finally time to get back to work and the first wedding I got to photograph as a newlywed was Rocheil and Chris's wedding set at the gorgeous Chateau Cargill in South Surrey. Chris was as calm as they come as he got ready at a nearby hotel, although some of his groomsmen were a tad anxious about the 2008 European Championship. Rocheil and her ladies got ready at Chateau Cargill and managed to survive the last few minutes of activity and chaos that seems to precede every wedding. After the sweet and funny ceremony we had an opportunity to take a few group photos on the groups prior to whisking the newlyweds away in a gorgeous 1970 Chevelle SS. Rocheil is a huge car buff and she was absolutely ecstatic when the car made it's way around the corner towards her. It was then off to Crescent Beach for some shots of the happy couple before rejoining their family and friends for the reception. I wish you both the best!! I am happy to come online for a few moments before we fly off to Las Vegas for our honeymoon to post a photo from our fabulous wedding yesterday! It was an absolutely flawless day. Everything from the flowers and decor to the incredible food and service at Monk's to an incredibly fun photo session (and impromptu stop at McDonald's for a midday snack) the day was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! And the best part... Steven and I got married!!
Thank you so much to all of our fabulous vendors, friends and family who were there to share this amazing day with us. I will post a few more photos as I receive them from my photographer but here is a quick one of Steven and I in the fabulously fun photobooth! Talk to you all again soon!!
Well after 15 months and countless hours of planning, it is finally time for me to get married! Steven and I will be exchanging vows this Sunday and then we are off to Las Vegas for a few days of fun in the sun so if you try to contact me anytime between Tuesday, June 10th and Friday, June 20th, I will be sure to get back to you as soon as I return. Thanks to everyone for all of the good wishes! I'm so excited!!!
Heather and Sean were so much fun! Even though it was a tad chilly and they didn't get much sleep the night before, they both looked fabulous and were all giggles and smiles as we wandered around Bear Creek Park. The park was nearly empty so we had an easy time finding lots of great spots for the two of them to snuggle in. Their wedding is coming up in just a few weeks so stay tuned for more photos! Here are a few favourites from the session...
I was so happy to finally meet Kimberly and Elizabeth after months of chatting via email and phone calls. They came to Vancouver for a destination wedding from their hometown of Washington, DC along with many of their friends and family who traveled from all over the U.S. to share their special day with them. Even with the cloudy skies and very cool winds, Elizabeth and Kimberly were amazing as we walked around Stanley Park for a quick photo session prior to the ceremony. They are so obviously in love and happy together. I think the two of them were giggling the entire time. The sun then came out and it was time to head off to St. Paul's Church for the touching ceremony and then to the Pacific Palisades Hotel for their brunch reception. Good luck Elizabeth & Kim!
