August 24, 2008... Melisa & Evan

Oh boy did it rain on Sunday! At some point I think the rain was even going sideways. But even the damp weather did not dampen Melisa and Evan's excitement or playful nature. I was so excited for Melisa and Evan's wedding as they were having a full Jewish ceremony, a first for me, and it was so much fun! The entire day was filled with great traditions and personalized moments. We began our day with a fabulous photo session in and around Morgan Creek Golf Course as the rain fell. Everyone was so much fun and in such great spirits despite the weather. It was then time for the official signing of the marriage license and Jewish marriage contract with just their immediate family. A very intimate and emotional ceremony where Melisa got to take part in the veiling of the bride tradition, which was absolutely beautiful and filled with so much meaning. My favourite part of the day though was definitely the reception! Within the first ten minutes everyone was on the dance floor celebrating the marriage and then Melisa and Evan were hoisted up on chairs and despite looking a tad frightened at times, they both seemed to be having a fabulous time. It was an amazing day!
