I was so excited when Rocheil and Chris contacted me a few weeks ago and told me they were looking to have a few maternity photos taken prior to their little one's arrival in January. I had so much fun getting to know them at their e session and then their fabulous wedding I obviously could not pass up the opportunity. Rocheil looks amazing for being 35 weeks pregnant and they are both so excited (and definitely a little anxious) for the birth. I had so much fun and want to say thank you again to Rocheil and Chris for inviting me to share in the excitement. I cannot wait to meet your new baby in a few weeks for the newborn session!! I had a hard to time picking only a few favourites, so here are lots of favourites. :)
Caitlin and Bruno are absolutely adorable and so in love. When I met them a few months back they were just in the initial stages of planning their January wedding and still had no idea as to a venue. We luckily met at Monk McQueens restaurant and after describing how the venue worked so perfectly for my wedding in June, they fell in love with it and they were all set. We had the opportunity to get together for their engagement session on the weekend and it was great hearing all about how the details are coming together for their big day. I cannot wait! Here are a few favourites from the session...
Well this was my final wedding of 2008 and it was definitely worth the wait. Kelli and Cole had dreamed of a clear, crisp Fall day for their November wedding and Mother Nature definitely delivered. We began our day with Kelli and her girls as they prepared for the big event and Kelli truly could not stop smiling and rushing around. She was so excited! She looked absolutely radiant in her gown and took Cole's breath away as she entered the chapel. After the sweet ceremony, we had some fun at the Burnaby Village Museum for their group photos before the sun went down. It was crazy cold outside but the everyone was so much fun to work (even the guys). ;) It was then time to hop in the limo so the poor girls could warm up and then we all zoomed over to the reception at Centennial Lodge where Kerry Reid of Fairy Godmother Weddings had everything all set and looking perfect! The happy couple is already lounging on the beaches of the Mayan Riviera, so have a happy honeymoon and congratulations again!!
It is always amazing when I get to keep in touch with the couple's whose weddings I photograph. But it is even more amazing when I get to do not only their wedding photos, but their maternity photos as they await the arrival of their first baby and then a fun family session with everyone after the baby arrives. Wee Cameron is already ten months old and definitely runs the MacLeod household. He was an absolute sweetie during the entire session (even as he was commando crawling out of the room at a high rate of speed) and although mom, dad and grandma had their hands full trying desperately to get him to laugh, we still got some amazing photos that definitely show his personality. I cannot wait to get more pics of his as he gets older! Here are a few favourites...
I am hoping Angela starts a new trend here in the North West! Bridal portraits are the norm in the Southern US and honestly I love the idea. What better way to test your hair and make-up styles for the big day! Angela is getting married to the love of her life Domi on New Year's Day in Hawaii but wanted to have a few portraits done in her party dress prior to heading over so even with Angela suffering from Laryngitis and braving the very chilly wind, off we went to have some fun. Her fabulous dress was made by Ber-Nardi's Custom Bridal Wear and it was perfect for her! Angela was looking for a 50's inspired style and Ber-Nardi's did not disappoint. Angela even brought some pick cotton candy and her 10 week old chocolate lab as props! So amazing. Her hair and make-up was done by the fabulous gals at Mystique Hair Design and her complete look was perfect! I had a very hard time selecting only a few for the blog, so I figured since I haven't posted in awhile I can go a little crazy with Angela. Congratulations Angela & Domi! I cannot wait to see you when you return home in January!
I just love receiving emails from clients after the wedding day. It really reminds me of why I love doing what I do, and also how blessed I am that I really "click" with so many of the couples I have the opportunity to photograph. I am in the process of updating my website, along with my testimonials page, and just received this write-up from Allison and Kris. I photographed their big day back in September and just fell in love with them. I am going to add this to my site (along with a few pics) but wanted to post it on here as well. :) Thank you Allie & Kris!
As someone whose strength is research but weakness is decision making, I feel like we looked at every photographer in the lower mainland before we made our decision. Once I saw Cora’s site though, our decision was easy. Not only did we find a photographer who exemplified the style we were looking for but, as is not easy to find, we also found one who was within our budget. There weren’t any constraints like number of shots or locations or not owning the high resolution files either. She was the perfect fit for us – beautiful style combined with flexibility at an affordable price.
On top of all the other great things we can say about Cora – we just had a really great time with her. As soon as we met with her, we knew she was the one we needed to record our day. She made us completely comfortable and we had so much fun at both our engagement session and on our wedding day. She put us completely at ease and the resulting photos show that. Even though we spent 2 hours on our big day for our formals, the time seemed to fly past! She handled everything from the family shots to my last minute change of location with ease and professionalism.
Our photos turned out better than we ever thought possible! It was incredible that almost every single one of the numerous photos is amazing. We’ve had so many people ask us who did our photos because they are so fantastic and original – the one comment we most received about our wedding has been that our photographer was amazing, and she really was! We have been recommending Cora to everyone we know!
For us, photos were the most important aspect of our day. The one thing that would stay with us after the whirlwind was over. We know we could not have chosen a better person to capture every important moment in such a beautiful way! Now we’re on to other tough decisions – like which photos do we pick to frame out of so many great ones! Since we’re not the best at making tough decisions, I have a feeling we’re going to be using up a lot of wall space!
Thank you so much Cora!
So let me know if you need anything else – longer, shorter, etc! Is it bad that I can’t wait until my photos get featured on your site!? J Thanks for the opportunity!

I just returned home from my big European honeymoon but wanted to post a quick photo of me and my hubby Steve. I will surely post more photos of our trip after I have the opportunity to go through them all (there are a lot) but here is a quick snapshot taken by one of the fabulous people we met while on our tour. We had so much fun and saw so many amazing things. Everything from the Pope (not personally but from a distance), to the statue of David in Florence, the Louvre in Paris and so much more! Thank you to everyone for their emails and inquiries while I was away. I will be getting back to work over the next day or two so if you haven't heard from me already, you will shortly. :) Ciao!
After a very busy 2008 wedding season and planning my own wedding, it is finally time for me to take a much needed break and head off to Europe on my honeymoon with my dear husband Steve. :) We have been planning this amazing vacation for over a year and I cannot believe it is finally here.
We will be flying from Vancouver to Rome and after a few days of sightseeing will be joining a tour group for a relaxing and luxurious trip through Europe (I included a little map of our travel destinations below). :) After the tour ends in London we will be taking the train up to Scotland for a few more days to visit with Steve's family as well as visit a few castles before heading home. As I will be on my honeymoon and focusing on other things, I will not be checking my voicemail or my emails (eeek) but I will be sure to get back to everyone as soon as I return at the end of the month and I will be sure to post a few photos of our travels on my blog. So exciting!!
Happy Thanksgiving. :)
I had such a great day with Rhea and Alex. They are such a fun, easygoing and loving couple. Even with the high winds and sideways rain, they were just so excited to be getting married and were not going to let anything spoil their day. We began with the girls at Chateau Cargill as they prepared for the day. Everyone was super excited and Rhea could not stop beaming. Her smile was seriously contagious. After the touching ceremony we all hopped into the cars and made our way to Stewart Farm for some fun photos. We had a great time despite the weather and everyone was amazing to work with. I know I say that a lot but honestly, no one even complained once. And it was cold. After the formals it was back to Chateau Cargill for some tasty food, funny toasts, embarrasing games and an evening of fun with friends and family. Thank you so much Rhea and Alex. I feel so blessed to have been a part of your specail day.
I was so excited to finally meet Brittany and Brad! I have been chatting with Brittany over email for a few months so it was great to finally meet this fabulous couple in person and chat about their big day. We met early at Stanley Park and had a fabulous time. These two are so much fun and so obviously in love and were up for anything. I cannot wait for their big day next May! Here are a few favourites from the session...
