Set atop the gorgeous Grouse Mountain, Mary and Gavin's wedding was absolutely perfect. These two are real outdoor enthusiasts so it was only fitting that they say "I do" in a spot that they love and that really represents them as a couple. The weather was gorgeous and under sunny skies and with all of their friends and family looking on, vows were exchanged, rings were given and a new chapter began. :) The wedding party was so amazing and trudged through the slippery, wet and brownish snow for the formals. I would have to say I am equally amazed with the bridesmaids and with Gavin and his groomsmen at the adventure they undertook. The bridesmaids had to walk through the snow in their heels and the guys only had rental shoes which apparently do not have any sort of grip. The bride on the other hand came prepared and wore the cutest boots. Gotta love a gal for being prepared for anything. ;) I wish you the best of luck for the future and hope you have a fabulous time on your honeymoon!
As most of my clients and friends know, I try to not post a lot of personal stuff on my blog, rather dedicating it to the wonderful couples and people I photograph featuring their amazing weddings and fabulous experiences. But I am so excited I just could not pass up this opportunity to share my own personal joy with the world. My husband Steven and I are pregnant and expecting our first baby this October! YAY! We are beyond thrilled and are just so excited for the upcoming adventure. I will be working hard up until October and then taking a much needed break in order to be a new mommy as well as enjoy my brand new little arrival. For all of you lovely couples that have your e sessions and weddings booked with me for this coming summer, be prepared! I will be as bubbly and excited as ever but might not be doing as much running or jumping as I normally do. ;)
I'm super excited for the adventure ahead though and cannot wait to share the excitement with you all as the weeks progress!
Lisa Godfrey of Northern Star Jewelry always amazes me with her ability to create the most gorgeous pieces of jewelry. She just finished creating a few new pieces so we decided to get together for one of our almost annual photo sessions to show off the new items. The new pieces were stunning (as usual) and I am always so blown away by not only the simple elegance of them all but the fact that there are pieces that coordinate with so many different wedding day "looks". Her new items include everything from vintage necklaces to dazzling earring to gorgeous hair accessories. All of the new items will be featured on her website soon (as soon as I finish the editing) but check out Lisa's blog for more information and to see more images of her new designs. I could go on and on but figured I'll just post a few sample images instead.
Also, a big thank you to Larissa of Bridal Beginnings for creating a gorgeous bouquet for us to use for the session. You never cease to amaze me with your style. ;) And to Jayna Maria for the stunning hair and makeup. You are a rock star. :)
Baby J is already 3 weeks old and as cute as ever. Angela and Jordan were so excited when their little boy finally arrived and he has been making them smile ever since (or perhaps it is the sleep deprivation). Either way, I was so happy to be able to catch up with them again and meet their new arrival. He was the perfect model for me the entire session and I cannot wait to see him again soon for more pics! Here are a few of my favourites...
With only six weeks until their big day and now that the weather has finally started to cooperate, I was so happy to be able to finally meet up with Emily and Shane again for their e session. Stewart Farm was the perfect backdrop for some quiet time between these two and after hearing all about their plans for their big day, I think the anticipation and excitement is really starting to build! I cannot wait to see how it all comes together. Here are a few favourites from our session...
What a fabulous weekend! The boudoir marathon was a blast and all of
the ladies were a dream to photograph. They went all out to create the
perfect super sexy looks for their loved one and the results are
amazing. About half of the ladies are allowing me to post a few samples
online, so here they are...
This is a message to all of the lovely ladies that I worked with over the weekend at the wonderful boudoir marathon... I am feverishly working to complete a few samples for you all but might need an extra day before they get posted and sent out to you. My first little niece was born on Sunday afternoon and my sister and her hubby need some help after a crazy labour and delivery, so I will be literally in and out of the house between helping them out and editing. I promise to have everything ready by Wednesday at the latest! Thank you for your patience and understanding.
She is so worth it though. :)
As a reminder I will be away from my office from Friday to Monday as this is the weekend of the big boudoir marathon. I will be sure to reply to all of my emails as soon as I return on Monday. Have a bright and sunny weekend!!
Cora :)
