With only 386 days to go until their July 10, 2010 wedding, Valerie and Jeff felt it was the perfect time for their engagement session! We enjoyed a gorgeous evening at Campbell Valley Park and I must admit I am really excited for their big day! They are so ahead with their planning it is sure to be a well organized and fun day. I had so many favourites from the session, so here are a few...
Shannon and Dan are one of the sweetest and most considerate couples. I was so excited for their wedding day since they had put so much work into making it really personal. They are both skating fanatics so it was only fitting that their wedding included many items to reflect their passion. Including everything from an e session at a skating rink, to a personalized cake topper made just for them and 2009 playoff towels as a surprise from their family and friends to wave as the newly married couple entered the reception. After the touching ceremony we then zoomed off to QE Park for a few family photos and the fun formals. It was SO hot but everyone was amazing to work with and just full of ideas. After a stop at the ice cream truck (see the "ice" theme again ;)) for some refreshing treats, we then headed off to the airport for a few more photos before joining the guests at the reception. As fun as the entire day was, the highlight for me was haphazardly running into a few trick motorcyclists as they practiced some unbelievable maneuvers. It was hard not to stare at the bizarre things they would do while on a moving bike!
I can't help it but there are A LOT of images in this post. This is my gorgeous and perfect niece Greta (and my amazing sister and her equally great hubby). We have been trying for weeks to do a few family shots but trying to accommodate a new baby's schedule with a busy auntie can be somewhat of a challenge. But, we finally found a moment and I LOVE the results. Greta was the perfect model and I cannot help but be a gushing auntie. Isn't she adorable!!!!
I was so excited to see Jessie and Geoff again this past weekend for their engagement session. Their big day is coming up this August and not only do they have everything under control but they were calm, cool and relaxed and definitely enjoying the last few weeks before the insanity begins. Campbell Valley Park was the perfect backdrop once again and although trying to stay out of the hot sunshine was a challenge, we found some great spots and had a ton of fun. Here are a few favourites...
