There are so many reasons why Melissa and Greg's wedding was just absolutely amazing. The perfect details that Melissa put so much work into, the perfectly intimate location at Minnekhada Lodge, an amazing vintage style dress handmade just for the beautiful bride, the great wedding party who always kept me laughing and the stunning decor and florals done by my favourite gal Larissa of Bridal Beginnings. Visit Bridal Beginnings FB Page! And then there was the weather!! It was one of the craziest days I have ever seen and definitely gave the guests a show. We began our day (in the sunshine) with the gals as they prepared and then met up with see the boys for some photos before the ceremony. The sun was still shining until a few moments before the ceremony, when it began to rain lightly. The bride and groom were determined to stay on track so despite a few little showers the ceremony went off beautifully under the trees. Then it began to pour, so off we all ran for family photos under the cover of the patio. Then just as we were going to round up umbrellas to head out for a few wedding party photos, the rain stopped. It was great! But the real show began just after dinner as the thunder and lightening started. I think almost every guest was outside enjoying it all. Melissa and Greg definitely have a wedding day to remember in more ways than one and it was so worth it. Thank you to the happy couple for allowing me to share in your special day!

OOOO! Crystal and Tyler were such a treat to get to know and photograph! Not only are they both amazingly sweet people but they could not stop giggling and smiling the entire session. We found lots of great new places in Campbell Valley Park for them to cuddle and I loved hearing all about their fabulous plans for their destination wedding coming up next Spring!! Good luck with the rest of the planning. :)
I always LOVE doing engagement sessions as it not only gives each couple a chance to get used to being in front of the camera, but I love learning all about how the wedding planning is going and hearing how excited each couple is for the big day. Purdy and Daniel are still working on some of the big wedding plans but they definitely know what they are looking for and seem to be having a fun time working out the details. These two are so in tune with one another and definitely knew how to work their angles. :) We had a fabulous session at QE Park and I am loving the results.
With a busy wedding season underway, I felt it was time to take a wee break and give an update on how the baby belly is doing. We are at an amazing 25 weeks pregnant now which is both exciting and a little freaky! Both Steven and I are so excited for our little one's arrival though and figured it was time to do a mini photo shoot so that we could remember the amazing journey we are taking and the pounds that we I mean I, am putting on. ;) We hit my favourite spot today and with Steven behind the camera and me directing, we couldn't go wrong. haha!! It was a ton of fun and we are excited to do it again as my belly (and our baby) gets bigger.
Cora :)
By the way.. it's a GIRL!!!!
I was so excited for Eva and Diego's wedding from their very first email to me. They live in Edmonton and had to plan everything from afar, but I could just tell through their letters how fun their big day was going to be and all I can say was that it was more than fabulous! These two are not only so obviously in love, but they are so in tune with one another. Blend that in with a lot of goofiness and laughter and you get a picture perfect match. We began our day with everyone as they all prepared for the big event. Eva's details were amazing - fabulous heels, stunning jewelry and gorgeous gown. After the touching ceremony we hit the Olympic Oval in Richmond for a quick photo session with the wedding party before heading off to the reception for our 12 course (yes that is correct, 12 courses) dinner. The party was still going strong when I left and I just know that Eva and Diego were there until the bitter end. Thank you so much for inviting me to share in your special day! I wish you both the best of luck!!

Jennifer and Dennis definitely know how to throw a party! It was an amazing day and I absolutely loved seeing Jenny and Dennis enjoy it with all of their friends and family. Jenny put a ton of work into the small details and it was so worth the effort. From the gorgeous gown to the perfect shoes, she really put all of her heart into it. Larissa from Bridal Beginnings helped make Jenny and Dennis' vision a reality by transforming the hall and creating some of the most beautiful bouquets ever. Jennifer looked absolutely stunning in her gown (Dennis looked pretty fabulous himself) and I couldn't have been more lucky than to spend the day with two people so obviously in love. I wish you both the best and hope you are having an amazing time on your romantic honeymoon.

I just HAD to add a few extra special images of the gorgeous bouquets created by Larissa. She knows how much I adore colourful and creative bouquets. ;) Awesome job as usual!!
I was so excited to meet up with Shauna and Seth for their engagement session and they definitely did not disappoint. Both were naturals in front of the camera and even had time to be goofy in between locations. I loved it! We met up at the always popular Campbell Valley Park and I adore the results. We were able to capture everything from fun to pure romance and it is so obvious how perfect these two are for one another. I cannot wait for their wedding day next summer! Here are a few favourites...
I really do not want to say too much about the following images as otherwise I will go on and on. And personally I think they speak for themselves. Good friends of ours, Reena and Brent, welcomed Olivia into the world only 9 days ago and I was so excited to have the opportunity to visit them at their home to meet the new arrival. Olivia was the perfect model and as sweet as they come. Here are a few of my personal favourites...
Ever since I met up with Laura and Joel back in November I just knew their wedding was going to be a ton of fun. These two are giggly, goofy, totally in tune with one another and can be oh-so-romantic. We began our day just as the girls were finished their final preparations and then it was off to our first photo location. Laura had the day timed out to perfection so once we arrived at the church we had time to get a few shots of the boys just before the ceremony.
The ceremony itself was perfect for Laura and Joel and once it was over, these two were just so excited to go start the next photo session in their private oasis (kindly provided by Laura's grandparents). It was such a fun afternoon thanks to the animated and very energetic wedding party. ;) Laura and Joel, thank you so much for allowing me to share in your special day. I wish you all the best. :)
