I just knew that my third and last wedding of September would be fun but a little bittersweet. Tressa and Denis's wedding was my last one before I take a mini-maternity leave and although I am super excited about the impending arrival of our little girl, I am not sure if I'll know what to do with myself in the meantime (I'm supposed to be resting and putting my feet up but that is a challenge on a good day for me).
I also knew that Tressa and Denis's wedding was going to be a blast ever since our e session a few months back and it definitely did not disappoint. Tressa was eager and ready to go long before the ceremony even began, and Denis was in a nervous bur calm state as he awaited Tressa's arrival. The ceremony was full of laughs and almost a few tears and was perfect for the couple. Simple and to the point. ;) Immediately after the ceremony we all then hopped into our cars to head to UBC for the formals session, which was AWESOME! Being a Saturday there was almost no one around and there are so many beautiful areas to use. We definitely had a great time and I love the results. Thank you Tressa and Denis for a wonderful day and I wish you the best of luck for the future. :)
My second wedding of the month was so much fun! I knew that Lisa was going to be a riot when I met her and her mom many months back, and she definitely did not disappoint. Erick was full of energy too and between the two of them and their wedding party, it was a fun filled wedding day. I was also super excited to be working with Kerry of Fairy Godmother Weddings again as I know things will be not only stunning but well organized. ;) Lisa was beaming from ear to ear as she prepared and could not wait to see Erick waiting for her at the end of the aisle. After the super touching ceremony we took off for some formals around Deer Lake Park so we could not only enjoy the fabulous weather, but find some much needed shade. It was HOT out! Even with the heat everyone was a blast to work with and did not stop smiling and goofing around the entire time. It was then time to join the rest of the guests at the Diamond Alumni Centre up at SFU and enjoy an evening of fine wines, tasty food and great dancing. I had such a fun day and want to thank everyone for being so kind to me as I waddled my pregnant self around. Happy honeymooning Lisa & Erick!
I know I say this a lot, but I truly was so excited for Andrea and Kevin's wedding day. I fell in love with them from the first time I met them, and fell in love even more after they didn't kill me when I accidentally dropped Andrea's gorgeous (and substantially sized) engagement ring into a large bale of hay at the e session, and I just KNEW that their wedding day, set at the picturesque Farmhouse Lifestyle, was going to be absolutely amazing. We began our day with the girls as they excitedly prepared for the main event. Even with the uncooperative weather Andrea did not let it phase her one bit and was just so excited to walk down the aisle to Kevin. Kevin and his groomsmen were also preparing in their own special way but despite the craziness, looked pretty darn good in the end. The ceremony was moved under the cover of the veranda to avoid the intermittent rain, but was just perfect as this amazing couple exchanged vows. It was ceremony filled with both laughter and happy tears. I was so happy (and I mean super happy) that the rain held off for the entire formals session and I love the results. The wedding party was hilarious to work with and definitely kept me smiling. The rest of the wedding was equally as perfect, with everything from well choreographed dance numbers to the perfect little details to personalize the event. I had such a great time and feel truly honoured that I was invited to share in their amazing day. To Andrea and Kevin, thank you for being such an amazing couple and I truly wish you both the best for the future. :)
My last wedding of August was perfect! Jessica and Jordan chose Whonnock Lake as their venue and it could not have been more beautiful. They booked with me ages ago so I was so excited to see how everything would come together on the big day. The colours and details were gorgeous. We began our day with the guys as they attempted to get ready. Jordan is the first of his crowd to tie the knot so figuring out how to get ready was an adventure to say the least but at least they had fun doing it. Then it was time to visit the girls as they made their final preparations for the day. Jessica was just beaming the entire time and looked absolutely radiant in her gown. After the ceremony, it was then time for a few photos around Whonnock Lake and I love the results. Thank you to Jessica and Jordan for everything and I wish you the best of luck! Have a fabulous honeymoon!!
